Pressure
Organizations run on human capabilities they rarely see clearly.
An organization does not see reality, exercise judgment, coordinate, learn, adapt, or renew on its own. People perform those functions—and the conditions around them shape whether those functions remain available.
A company can keep delivering while these capabilities quietly weaken. Accumulated strengths, available reserves, external advantages, and compensating effort may sustain visible performance after the organization has become harder to run and less able to change.
